Two photographers

Frédéric Combeau and Sonia Yassa are photographers at the City of Paris. They carry out the

reports and respond to image orders, on themes related to

green spaces and the environment. During their missions, they

meet and observe professionals in the field. They offer here

their unique vision. Frédéric Combeau offers a black and white look at

gardeners in their environment. Sonia Yassa chooses to present a

color report on different work of arborists-pruners, to which

two photos by Frédéric Combeau are included.

Beautifying the urban landscape

More than 1,000 gardeners work daily, according to

sustainable management methods, for the exploitation and beautification of the 2,300

hectares of green heritage of the City of Paris: nearly 550 parks and

gardens, planters.

green spaces and municipal facilities, without forgetting more than 300,000

trees in the woods of Boulogne and Vincennes, arborist pruners have a
