About the exhibition

At a time when the Arctic is one of the epicenters of climate change and global geopolitical tensions, we have decided to tell the story of this changing territory through the artistic creations of those who inhabit it.

The ABCdaire exhibition, the Arctic told by Inuit art, gives voice, through their works, to the Inuit of Canada, Greenland, Alaska and Siberia. An alphabetical route, from A for Arctic to Z for Zénith, allows this space to be classified, while showing the diversity and richness of Inuit art.

Thus, each letter marks an entrance to this vast universe of contemporary art composed of cosmology, practices, legends and creatures... Far from fixed folklore, this exhibition underlines that Inuit art is not only aesthetic: it is also memory, transmission and resilience.
