About the exhibition
Chuck Sperry, American artist considered the king of screen printing, returns to Paris for his exhibition "Archetypes", in parallel with the release of a monumental 900-page book on his work from 2009 to today. The exhibition will present new works on wooden panels, screen prints on paper, rare archives, sets of collector cards. This exhibition is centered around female figures and deities from Greek mythology. Chuck Sperry has built a universe where beauty becomes a force, myth a critical tool and where psychedelic aesthetics dialogue with democratic ideals. Chuck Sperry's works are created around an artistic practice of artisanal screen printing, superimposing layers with intense chromatic density.
