Exhibition guide
There was a time when driving a car was sporty, when going in a car was exceptional and inseparable from elegance and fortune. It is this bygone time that the BTV invites us to discover through its heritage collections and in particular that of the magazine "Omnia. Practical automobile review"

About the exhibition
The horsepower of the internal combustion engine was difficult to tame. To achieve this we had to protect ourselves - hide - behind thick glasses, under thick dust covers, and headbands. This is what drawings by René Vincent, Robida, etc. show us.
Having a car was reserved for a modern but also wealthy elite. It was very chic!
Being a woman, driving your car, traveling alone. How modern! It was a dream, as shown by the illustrated covers of the beautiful magazine "Omnia".
Through a choice of around thirty images, the Tourism and Travel Library (BTV) invites us to go back in time and rediscover the era of the precursors of the automobile, that time when we dressed specially to get into a car.
