About the exhibition
Both free and familiar, independent and affectionate, hunter and contemplative, the cat has qualities that have always inspired creators. His long hours of rest make him an accessible and peaceful model, while his supple and harmonious body naturally nourishes the artistic gesture.
In the 19th century, he established himself as a privileged companion of artists, a symbol of independence, freedom and enigmatic beauty. Even today, its presence continues to influence creations and imaginations, reinforced by its role in digital culture, where it is a source of comfort and entertainment for a global audience. Fluctuart invited artists to offer their interpretation of this emblematic figure. Everyone has appropriated the cat to tell their own story and immerse us in their world. From literature to quantum physics, including illustration and kitsch aesthetics, visitors will discover the many facets of the feline and, perhaps, find their own inner cat.
