About the exhibition
Immerse yourself in the world of Martin Robic through a selection of original boards. Endless Night: A mysterious party takes place in a remote town, which is said to feel like it lasts forever. Dorothée goes there to report on this celebration surrounded by unanswered questions. Violette accompanies him, as much to do him a favor as to change his mind. Through encounters and visits to places, each more fantastic and marvelous than the last, she begins to forget the evil that is gnawing at her. But can you really run away from your problems forever? Martin Robic delivers a skin-deep and highly sensitive story about unease and melancholy. An invitation to travel, to meet people, to build relationships: a life drive.
The artist
New recruit of Label 619, or even "rough diamond" as the founders like to call this third generation of artists integrated into the Label, Martin Robic benefits from a glorious preface signed Mathieu Bablet, who places this new generation under the sign of praise and recognition.
Le Label 619
This exhibition is linked to Label 619, founded by Run. The label defends comics anchored in its time, nourished by varied influences such as urban cultures, animation or design.
By leaving great freedom to authors, it allows the emergence of projects with singular forms and stories, often at the crossroads of genres. Label 619 has thus established itself as a creative space where strong universes develop, supported by a true visual and narrative identity.
Label 619 has seen the emergence and support of several major authors of the contemporary scene, including Mathieu Bablet, Neyef and Guillaume Singelin. We maintain a close collaboration with Label 619 and regularly present the works of the artists associated with it.
Our commitments
Through the original comic strips, dive into the heart of the graphic novel. You discover the line, the vibration of the colors, the depth of the black and white, and sometimes even the author's thoughts through small notes.
For five years, our vision has focused on highlighting the works behind the book, in order to offer our visitors all the richness of comics. The purchase of a work thus extends to a more complete and sensitive experience.
