About the exhibition
This exhibition highlights the history of the novitiate of the Company of Priests of Saint-Sulpice, founded by Jean-Jacques Olier in the 17th century. Through numerous archival documents and works of art, the route allows you to follow the evolution and understand the "spirit" of this Sulpician novitiate, known as "Solitude". This retreat time allows, until today, to train priests who wish to devote themselves to the training of the clergy in the seminaries. A place of training and discernment of priestly vocations, the Saint-Sulpice seminary has welcomed generations of future priests, from all over France but also from around the world. The exhibition is aimed at all those who are interested in the history of the Church of France, of the diocese of Paris but also in the discreet and today little-known Parisian heritage.
