About the exhibition
This exhibition is the result of the partnership between the Claude Lévi-Strauss library and l’ESAT ARERAM Agnès Bossart-Rallion.
Around twenty people with disabilities thought about and designed a plea on ideal school and work. This project was carried out within the framework of workshops allowing the free expression of participants, in groups and individually. He continues work on destigmatization, before initiating action on parenting for people with disabilities.
Their proposals gain intensity thanks to the portraits taken by photographer Sanja Huaux. They show their emotions, their hopes. Too often invisible, these people wanted their words and their image to be heard and seen by everyone: public authorities, actors on the ground and generally by citizens. These women and men show their commitment to the city, and their desire, not only to be fully involved but also to commit to changing society on the issue of discrimination experienced on a daily basis.
Their reflection on the place of disability in society impacts our representations and aims to support us in our own reflection.
