About the exhibition
Libéral Martin is an artist and director of animated films. Graduate
of Decorative Arts in Paris in 2019, he also studied at the Kunst
Academy of Art in Copenhagen and at the University of Quebec in Montreal. Its
practice extends from drawing to 3D modeling through
stop-motion animation.
With the exhibition Méandre, Libéral plunges us into labyrinths
which defy the eye. Drawn in ink on Canson or fashioned from
precious metals, the paths get tangled, split and intersect
until forming immense tangles. But these structures are more
only riddles to solve: they are the mirror of our own
paths of thought, of our psychology. These lines capture something
something elusive — the moments when the mind wanders, hesitates or
gets lost. Everyone traces their own path.
The Opening of the Méandre exhibition will take place on Saturday March 28 at 6 p.m. in the presence of the artist. It will take place in the premises of the Atelier Vie 65 avenue paul vaillant couturier in Gentilly.
