LooLooLook Gallery is pleased to announce the solo exhibition of Pauline Bailly, presented as part of the Ligne intérieure 2026 curatorial cycle, curated by ZiQi PENG.

Turbulence as a passageWith Embruning Reality, Pauline Bailly deploys a universe where the boundaries between reality and the imaginary dissolve in favor of a sensory and contemplative experience.

Through her recurring figure of the Cloud-Woman, the artist composes a suspended visual narrative, between presence and erasure.

A female silhouette merges into the landscape, carried by the vaporous matter of the cloud. She does not escape it: she inscribes herself within it, dilutes herself into it, until she becomes an element of the scenery itself.

This movement is not a disappearance, but a transformation, a passage from the visible toward interiority.

As the artist suggests:

“Questioning the ungraspable has become obvious through the constant painting of clouds.”

Through figurative painting nourished by influences ranging from Impressionism to Surrealism, Pauline Bailly develops a singular iconography, where the female figure oscillates between earthly anchoring and poetic elevation. Each work acts as a narrative fragment, a suspended moment where time seems to slow down.

Having been featured in several exhibitions in France and Europe, and active as a journalist and art critic, the artist is now asserting a unique voice within the emerging scene.

The exhibition thus offers a space of withdrawal from reality, an invitation to slow down, observe, and let one's own interior landscapes emerge.
